There are many different cellulite body wraps for reducing cellulite available on the market. But do they really work? Are they worth the money? Can they reduce cellulite significantly? Do they bring any other health benefits? Keep on reading to find out.
Cellulite Reduction Body Wraps
A cellulite reduction body wrap can be defined as a body wrap specifically meant for reducing the appearance of cellulite. A body wrap can be defined as anything applied/wrapped on the body for health and beauty treatment purposes.
It can be anything from linen sheets to a mixture of ingredients applied on the body, i.e. gels, lotions, minerals, etc. Body wraps are popular skin treatments in spas today. There are many types of body wraps available today from algae, clay and mud wraps to herbal, cellulite and compression wraps.
What Do Cellulite Reduction Body Wraps Promise to Do?
Cellulite body wraps promise to reduce and/or eventually get rid of cellulite. The wraps are popular cellulite treatments today. They usually resemble bandages soaked in ingredients such as vitamins, minerals and herbs which promise to shrink away cellulite.
The wraps also promise to get rid of toxins in the body responsible for causing cellulite as well as worsening the appearance. Different cellulite body wraps promise different results in regards to cellulite reduction. Some cellulite reduction wraps also promise to slim down the body by triggering weight/fat loss. Other popular promises include unmatched relaxation and skin moisturizing benefits.
What to Expect
Cellulite reduction body wrap treatments usually last for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Treatment can, however last longer depending on the size of the treatment area as well as the type of body wrap ingredients being used. You should expect to be treated using a mixture of ingredients known to fight cellulite from honey to caffeine. The mixture of ingredients is usually applied on the treatment area and then wrapped using a cloth for some time before it is removed and washed away.
Precautions
Since body wraps involve the use of a mixture of ingredients, it’s important to seek medical advice from your dermatologist or doctor if you have any skin allergies that may be triggered by body wrap ingredients. Other than that, cellulite body wraps are generally safe. They may, however increase skin sensitivity for some time among a few patients, especially if the ingredients used aren’t all natural.
Do Cellulite Reduction Body Wraps Work?
The effectiveness of body wraps depends mainly on the ingredients. If the body wrap in question uses
known cellulite fighting ingredients, there is a high chance the wrap may improve the appearance of cellulite.
It is however worth noting that a 30 minute to 1-hour treatment can’t be effective in getting rid of cellulite in the long-term. Body wraps are short-term treatments. It is therefore important to seek long-term cellulite treatments as you go for body wraps.
Exercising regularly and maintaining a good diet are the best cellulite treatments since they tackle the underlying cause of cellulite which is inactivity and poor diet. Being physically inactive for years makes people’s bodies weak in every sense from the muscles to the skin’s connective tissue. For instance, you are unable to burn the food you eat effectively.
Also, your organs don’t function optimally which attracts other problems like accumulation of toxins. Your skin health is also compromised when you don’t eat well. In a nutshell, inactivity and poor diet are the main causes of most, if not all, health and skin beauty problems, including cellulite so it’s important to have all this in mind when seeking cellulite reduction body wrap treatments.

Hi Sandy
I really have the cellulite issue on my things, however, after reading your article I think I’m interested in the cellulite wraps, but what exactly do they do, I mean are they as good as exercising?
Or is exercising the ultimate solution to this, I’m not clear in the concept here, could you please help?
Sandy says
Hi Shrey,
From my experience the cellulite wraps can only reduce the appearance of cellulite, and only for some time. To really get rid of the cellulite for good, you need to exercise, and the best exercises are Joey Atlas exercises.
Thanks for the comment,
Sandy

I think my girlfriend who’s constantly complaining on cellulite on her tummy would like to see this. Isn’t it going to be uncomfortable? I think seeing her getting wrapped for an hour is going to be a funny sight. If it’s going to have weight-loss benefit, I think I would give it a try too.
Sandy says
No, it isn’t really uncomfortable. Some wraps can be actually quite relaxing. But to get rid of the cellulite on a tummy, these exercises would be much better.
Thanks for the comment,
