Whether you want to prevent cellulite, reduce it or get rid of it completely, there are a few things that you can do at home to be successful in your cellulite struggle. Keep on reading to learn how to prevent cellulite or how to get rid of it.
Cellulite is a problem that affects a lot of women. Actually sooner or later almost every woman has cellulite. But there are some lucky women that never have cellulite. Are they really lucky or they do something right that other women don’t?
Actually, there are some things that you can do to prevent the appearance of the ugly cellulite. The steps below will also help you reduce cellulite, and I will also write at the end how to get rid of cellulite too. But if you’re the one who has never got cellulite or has just got rid of it, keep on reading and learn how to prevent it.
Not all of the things below are necessary to do (except diet and exercise), but the more you do, the healthier and better you will look.
How to Prevent Cellulite
Exercise
The first thing that you should do, is to exercise 3-5 times a week for 30-60 minutes. There are many reasons why women (and some men too) get cellulite, but the main reason, according to women’s trainer and fitness specialist Joey Atlas, is that the muscle fibers under the skin become too weak (you can read more about it and watch a video here).
So, the best way to avoid cellulite is to keep those muscles strong. You can do it with the same exercises that are suggested to do, to reduce cellulite. You can find them here.
Be More Active
Maybe you don’t have enough time to exercise? Maybe you’re too busy? You don’t really need some extra time to exercise. Just try to be more active physically. Instead of sitting for hours in front of the computer, get the standing desk standing desk if possible and work more standing.
If you can’t use the standing desk, at least stand up every hour and walk for a few minutes. Do some stretching. If you use an escalator often, try to avoid it and take the stairs. Try to use every opportunity to walk a little more. Instead of lying on the sofa while watching TV, sit on the sofa. Go jogging, ride a bicycle, go swimming, play some sports. Any physical activity will be good.
If you can do yoga, that would be great. You can read about yoga for cellulite here.
Diet
Diet is also very important to prevent and to reduce cellulite. And you don’t need any special diet. Just try to eat healthy food as much as possible. Eat a lot of vegetables and some fruit. You can eat boiled vegetables, raw or drink green smoothies. But avoid deep fried vegetables and any deep fried food.
You should also avoid all kinds of junk food and sugar. Also avoid Coke, Pepsi and all kinds of sodas.
The same foods that help get rid of cellulite, also help to prevent it. You can read about them here.
Detox
Toxins that come from all kinds of junk and unhealthy foods, are one of the causes of cellulite. That’s why healthy diet is so important to prevent and get rid of cellulite. But if you eat some junk food from time to time, then detoxing is a good idea. Learn how to detox for cellulite here.
Massage
Try to get some massage 2-3 times a month. You can even massage yourself, especially your legs, or ask your partner to massage you. He might really like it.
You can also do dry brushing to prevent or reduce cellulite.
How to Get Rid of Cellulite
You should do the above things to prevent cellulite, but if you already have cellulite you need to do more:
The Naked Beauty Exercises
The most certain way to get rid of cellulite, is the Naked Beauty Program. The Naked Beauty Program consists of special exercises that target the muscle fibers responsible for cellulite. I have reviewed the Naked Beauty Program here.
Cellulite Supplements
Some cellulite supplements are very effective and easy way to fight cellulite. In my opinion the best cellulite supplement is Cellinea. I have reviewed the Cellinea pills here.
Anti-cellulite Creams
Using cellulite creams, to get rid of cellulite, isn’t really necessary if you do the Naked Beauty workout and/or take cellulite supplements, but they can help reduce cellulite faster. I wrote about cellulite creams here.
